The Great Chefs Event began in 2005 by partners Marc Vetri and Jeff Benjamin to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a local non-profit that raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. In 2008, Vetri and Benjamin founded the Vetri Community Partnership, which helps provide healthy food and nutrition education to Philadelphia youth. Today, the event is a dual fundraiser for the two foundations, raising more than $800,000 in 2015.
Now in its 11th year, the event brings dozens of high-profile chefs from across the country and around the world to the Urban Outfitters, Inc‘s corporate campus in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard, for an evening of fun, food and charity.
We have more than 10 different sponsor levels, ranging from $1,000 to $50,000, each one with newly added perks, such as additional tickets for many upper level sponsorships, a once-in-a-lifetime multi-course dinner at Vetri Ristorante, and the opportunity to rub elbows with all of this year’s featured chefs at the Chef Welcome Dinner on the night before the Great Chefs Event.
