With warm weather approaching, the idea of cooking and eating hot pasta dishes or noodle soups can seem less and less appealing. But #DidYouKnow that whole grains like whole wheat noodles can provide a filling and nutritious base for your meals? So, try making our Chilled Peanut Noodle Salad! This recipe calls for crunchy cucumbers and carrots, but can be topped with any vegetables you love and have on hand. The peanut sauce is creamy, savory, and super versatile.

If you want to take advantage of an abundance of spring herbs, another way to go is to check out our recipe for Chimichurri Pasta Salad, a bright, green, and delicious dish perfect for barbecues and potlucks! 🥕🥒

Spring is here! ☀️ And with it, a whole new b

Spring is here! ☀️

And with it, a whole new batch of fruits and veggies are cropping up. #DidYouKnow eating seasonal produce is a great way to find ingredients that are fresh, delicious, and often more affordable?

May and June bring us tons of in-season veggetables: carrots, new potatoes, lots of herbs, root veggies, and more!

Since it still isn't too hot to use the oven, take advantage by roasting those veggies in our Roasted Root Vegetables with Garlic and Parsley or try our Roasted Carrots with Carrot Top Pesto.

Both of these recipes are fantastic as side dishes or on their own and make for great leftovers! 🥕🌶🥦🥬

We want to shoutout our wonderful Vetri Cooking Lab educators, EAT360 educators, Mobile Teaching Kitchen educators, Culinary Medicine educators and our volunteers. They are all a guiding force in the kitchen, in the classroom, and out in our communities each and every week.

Whether they are demonstrating knife safety practices, teaching new culinary techniques, breaking down the recipe instructions, or simply just encouraging our students to step out of their comfort zone, our educators are inspiring our students to continue to grow and build their confidence each week.

We couldn’t continue to inspire Philly’s kids without them on our team! 🍏🍎
