Last month, Vetri Community Partnership’s Mobile Teaching Kitchen visited First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School. We taught students how to make sweet potatoes, greens & cabbage and Share Food Program had all of the ingredients for sale at affordable prices.

Last night we welcomed fourth year medical student

Last night we welcomed fourth year medical students from @pennmedicine into the Teaching Kitchen for their 3rd (out of 8) Food As Medicine class.

Students made Minestrone Soup and a Kale Salad with White Bean Vinaigrette while practicing knife skills and learning new culinary tips. Topics of discussion ranged from how to build a soup, vinaigrette 101, and nutrition highlights to fiber and blood glucose stabilization, diabetes management, and Health at Every Size.

We are so excited to see future doctors learning about nutrition through cooking! 🥒
