Last night we welcomed fourth year medical student

Last night we welcomed fourth year medical students from @pennmedicine into the Teaching Kitchen for their 3rd (out of 8) Food As Medicine class.

Students made Minestrone Soup and a Kale Salad with White Bean Vinaigrette while practicing knife skills and learning new culinary tips. Topics of discussion ranged from how to build a soup, vinaigrette 101, and nutrition highlights to fiber and blood glucose stabilization, diabetes management, and Health at Every Size.

We are so excited to see future doctors learning about nutrition through cooking! 🥒

Alex and his team have prepared a beautiful menu for you, including Oysters Rockefeller, Chicory Salad with Hazelnuts, Sherry and Shallots, Whole Baked Fluke with Clams, Olives, Capers, Lemon and Parsley, Warmed Butter Potatoes with Anchovy, and ending the evening with a Caramelized White Chocolate Pudding.
