Ever wanted to learn how to make your own mezze pl Ever wanted to learn how to make your own mezze platter? Join @chef.evan.snyder of buzzy new restaurant, @emmettphilly, in the @vetricommunity Teaching Kitchen for a hands-on cooking class. Evan will teach you how to roll grape leaves and put together an elegant and delicious mezze platter at home. This class will also include some wine education with Emmett's General Manager, @marissachirico, and a raffle for dinner for two at Emmett, plus a family-style dinner with wine and beer included. All funds raised from this dinner will go directly to Vetri Community Partnership, supporting our mission to nourish minds, bodies, and communities with nutrition education through cooking. Tickets are $100 for Spice Cabinet members and $150 for the public. Due to the nature of this event, we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions or food allergies. Cooking for Heart Health is back, baby! 🧡 Cook Cooking for Heart Health is back, baby! 🧡 Cooking for Heart Health is a four-class series designed by Vetri Community Partnership’s Culinary Medicine Team. This free hands-on series offers skills and tips for heart-healthy cooking. Classes start on September 15th at 10:30 am, and then are every Monday until October 6th. Join us to make affordable, approachable recipes, enjoy a lunchtime meal, and receive a $50 grocery store gift card after the last class. Today's Senior Cooking Class was a hoot and a half Today's Senior Cooking Class was a hoot and a half! Participants spent their afternoon in the Teaching Kitchen preparing Lettuce Wraps, Spicy Soy Cucumbers, Ginger Broccoli Slaw, and Coconut Rice together. There was chopping, there was sautéing, and there was...lots of dancing! The Teaching Kitchen is a space to learn how to cook of course, but it's also a space to connect and spend time together. Last week, the Mobile Teaching Kitchen rolled up t Last week, the Mobile Teaching Kitchen rolled up to @drexelsoe's Transition to Kindergarten program where soon-to-be kindergartners helped to prepare Peach & Pepper Salsa! 🍑🌶️ With big smiles and enthusiasm, students chopped up peaches and peppers, stirred in spices, and helped to tear up the mint. When it was time to taste test, there were lots of thumbs ups. This Peach & Pepper Salsa is officially kid-approved!
Last night's Family Cooking Class at @rowhousegroc Last night's Family Cooking Class at @rowhousegrocery was so. much. fun! It's so cool to see neighbors of 19145 come together to cook, learn new skills, and make new friends. After learning all about nutrition labels, participants of all ages chopped, diced, and sautéed fresh vegetables to assemble colorful and bright Burrito Bowls! Chef Nok will guide you through a hands-on cooking class, making spicy pickled cucumbers and a chicken penang curry. You'll have the opportunity to learn directly from Nok, ask her questions, and then gather together for a family-style meal.
