Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for all the support you’ve offered Vetri Community Partnership. The elimination of SNAP-Ed and the related funding cuts have been difficult for our team to navigate, but we have been heartened by the community response.

I’m writing today with some hopeful news. Though SNAP-Ed funding is (and remains) eliminated, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania managing entity recently shared with SNAP-Ed partners that they have reserves dollars that can be spent on programming through September 2026.

I’m thrilled to share that the available dollars, coupled with the funds you so generously donated, will allow us to operate one full year of in-school time nutrition education programming at all 14 schools we previously served.

Your support will fill the gap for this year to support kids in Philadelphia and will allow us to continue to prepare for a future without SNAP-Ed funding.

Many thanks to all who stuck with us through this tumultuous time to advocate for keeping nutrition education in the classroom. If you have any questions about this, please contact Christin Kwasny here.

With gratitude,

Maddy Booth
CEO, Vetri Community Partnership
