July has been a whirlwind of a month for Vetri Community Partnership! We’ve had lots of field trips and groups join us in the Teaching Kitchen. Our Mobile Teaching Kitchen thrived out in the sunshine, sharing so many recipes samples with neighbors all across Philadelphia. Our Summer Vetri Cooking Lab students cheffed it up, working with new ingredients and tasting new dishes. Community Cooking for Seniors officially launched and new friends have been made!

Our team has been busy, busy, busy, but isn’t that what summer is all about? If you’ve cooked with us, ate with us, or simply shared space with us this month, THANK YOU for being here and sharing our love for nutritious and delicious food! 🍑🫛🥬🌽🌶️
Thanks to your generosity, Vetri Community Partner Thanks to your generosity, Vetri Community Partnership met and exceeded the generous match that Vetri Community Partnership's Board Chairs, Lisa Dykstra and Chef @marcvetri, announced a few weeks ago! In the last two weeks, people just like you donated over $120,000 to help kids keep cooking classes and nutrition education in their schools.

While this is such an incredible running start, we still need to raise $280,000 more in order to bring Culinary Classroom back to schools and students this fall.

Can you donate today? Every dollar counts so whether you donate $20 or $20,000, you're making an impact in the lives of kids throughout Philadelphia.

Last week at @masterythomashigh, students assembled a colorful spread of Hummus, Greek Salad, and Grilled Pineapple. They measured ingredients like vinegar and olive oil, chopped seasonal summer produce like cucumbers, peppers, and radishes, grilled the pineapple, and then tossed it in a citrus dressing to bring out all of its flavors!

Students expressed their love for some vegetables and uncertainty about others, but in the end after trying their meal together, they agreed that everything was a thumbs up! Great work, chefs!
