At Vetri Community Partnership, we believe that every meal shared, and every skill learned helps to create a healthier Philadelphia. Over the past year, we’ve seen this come to life in countless kitchens: school classrooms, community centers, on the road with the Mobile Teaching Kitchen, and right here in our own Teaching Kitchen.

In collaboration with partners across the city, we provided hands-on cooking and nutrition education experiences for thousands of Philadelphians. Within every experience was a moment of connection — a student discovering a new food, a parent and child cooking together for the first time, or a senior finding friendship and purpose through our classes.

This year also brought challenge and change. The loss of critical federal SNAP-Ed funding prompted us to reimagine how we deliver our mission and reaffirm our commitment to nutrition education through cooking. All Philadelphians, regardless of circumstance, should have access to resources that build curiosity, confidence, and knowledge in food, nutrition, and cooking.

Through it all, what has remained constant is the spirit of this community: resilient, generous, and deeply invested in creating a city where nutritious food and joyful cooking are a part of everyday life. To our supporters, partners, and participants, thank you for being there with us every step of the way.
