Next week, the Vetri Community Partnership team is Next week, the Vetri Community Partnership team is moving into the new fiscal year. We’d like to take a moment to recap this last fiscal year (September 2024-August 2025).

Within the last year, the lives of about 30,000 neighbors, students, and community members were impacted through hands-on cooking and/or recipe samples. 195 recipes were finalized, 224 new donors were connected to our organization, and 1,569 events were hosted either in our Teaching Kitchen or out in our community and schools.

Thank you to everyone who cooked with us, ate with us, volunteered their time and skills, donated their money, and supported our mission in any way to nourish minds, bodies, and communities with nutrition education through cooking! We are so grateful for everyone in our circle, whether it be families learning to cook together or professional chefs, thank you for being here. 💚🧡
‼️ WARNING: Stop eating protein for breakfast ‼️ WARNING: Stop eating protein for breakfast ‼️

...you should be eating protein for EVERY meal! 😉 When your meals are balanced, meaning they have carbs, fiber, protein, and fat, you're more likely to have more energy during the day and stay fuller for longer.

It’s been an incredible summer in the Vetri Cook It’s been an incredible summer in the Vetri Cooking Lab classrooms! Over the last couple of months, students chopped, measured, and tasted their way through new flavors and recipes, including Street Cart Chicken, Thai Curry, Pasta e Ceci, and Burrito Bowls. Here are some things we overheard this summer:

🍍 “This is the best pineapple I’ve ever had.”

🥗 “I’m going to make this at home for my parents.” (about the Greek Salad)

🥕 “As a person who doesn’t eat a lot of vegetables, I’ve liked everything we’ve made in class!”

From first bites of hummus to refreshing salads and even trying tofu, it’s been so cool to see these young chefs develop the knowledge and confidence to make more nutritious choices!
