Last night was, as the kids say, a movie! Spice Last night was, as the kids say, a movie! 

Spice Cabinet members and their guests gathered in the Teaching Kitchen to make Veggie Fajitas, Charred Corn Salsa, and a lightly sweetened Olive Oil Cornmeal Cake! There was even a homemade tortilla assembly line! 

Our members are critical to helping achieve our mission to nourish minds, bodies, and communities with nutrition education through cooking. By making a monthly recurring donation, they're making Philadelphia a healthier, more joyful place to live.

Last Friday, Vetri Community Partnership teamed up Last Friday, Vetri Community Partnership teamed up with @villanovau to host Culinary Medicine 101 — a CPEU-credit event exploring how nutrition education can support better health outcomes. The day was full of didactic lectures, hands-on cooking, and exercises all centered around patient care for registered dietitians.

Henry is just one of the thousands of students who Henry is just one of the thousands of students who's lives are impacted by SNAP-Ed. Kids are choosing more nutritious options for snacks because of the consistent and ongoing exposure to fruits and veggies they receive during their SNAP-Ed program. 

Now more than ever, we need your support! SNAP-Ed funding is on the chopping block. If you or your family have been impacted by this program, we would you love if you’d contact your senators to voice your opposition to any cuts to SNAP-Ed.

Congress is voting on a federal budget would eliminate SNAP-Ed-the only USDA program that uses nutrition education, health promotion, and public health approaches to increase healthy eating and physical activity-later TODAY or tomorrow.

Vetri Community Partnership sees the impact of SNAP-Ed every single day, reaching 20,000 people annually while delivering nutrition education to low-income individuals.
