If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why?

-If I were a vegetable I’d be a potato! I can be versatile, comforting and just plain reliable. I think potatoes can be put into just about any dish from any culture and serve as both support systems but can also be the star of the show.

Is there a defining moment in your career that led you to VCP? How’d you get to us?

-After running restaurants for many years I made the decision to enter graduate school for public health policy. I feel like my past in food management along with my future in public health perfectly intersected and landed me at VCP. The universe provides!

What’s your real-life super power (talent)?

-I am the human octopus and can multitask several things at once, especially hot pans in a kitchen!

What neighborhood do you live in? What do you like about it?

-I recently bought a house in Mt. Airy and I absolutely love it! The neighborhood is surrounded by trees and greenery and generally a bit more quiet than the rest of the city of Philadelphia.

What is your favorite thing to cook?

-I love cooking eggs. They’re filling and there are so many ways to cook them and you can be as finessed or as simple as you want to be. There is nothing more luxurious than a nice runny egg yolk and you can always get better at cooking a perfect french omelette.
