Vetri Community Partnership’s Culinary Medicine Dietitian, Ambrazia Sublett MS, RDN, shared her nutrition education expertise with Eating Well Magazine on June 9, 2025. In the piece, Ambrazia shares her knowledge on cereals and cholesterol. She says,

“Cereals [can be] beneficial for cholesterol reduction primarily due to their high soluble fiber content, especially beta-glucan, which is found in oats and other whole grains,” says Ambrazia Sublett, M.S., RDN. She adds, “Here, this fiber acts like a ‘toothbrush’ in your arteries, sweeping away excess fat particles (cholesterol) in the bloodstream.”
