You may have recently seen this study, published in the Journal of Nutritional Science, that shows that Vetri Cooking Lab can change kids’ attitudes and behaviors towards nutritious foods. This was a huge win for Vetri Community Partnership and all who attend our programs because, as we’ve long said, building confidence in the kitchen can and does help kids cook and most importantly, eat, more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

But we also wanted to ask a group of people who know firsthand about kids and vegetables: moms!

Moya & Ian

Here’s what three moms had to say about how Vetri Community Partnership’s programs have changed their kids’ eating habits:

Moya, whose son is 9, said, “Ian has never eaten broccoli before, but he now does! He even tried spinach again. Life has gotten a lot, lot easier, 100%.”

Jami & Brody

Joanne, a mom of two girls, told us, “My girls definitely eat more veggies after doing a few of the Community Cooking Nights. They have also now had more exposure to new recipes, things that I wouldn’t necessarily make at home. Their new knife skills and passion for cooking has definitely made me want to spend more time in the kitchen with them.”

And Jami, Brody’s mom, said, “I’ve never seen him eat broccoli before.”

Before the year ends, will you donate to Vetri Community Partnership to help continue building kids’ confidence and get them eating nutritious, delicious recipes? Our cooking classes and nutrition education programs work to get kids to lead healthier lives. Moms agree!
