Supporting community health through culinary education
Vetri Community Partnership is teaching people that food is medicine. In our Culinary Medicine workshops, participants develop practical cooking skills while preparing recipes tailored to support specific health populations.
Our participants include medical students, practitioners, patients, and members of the general public.
Medical students and practitioners participate in hands-on cooking workshops to enhance their nutritional knowledge that can then be translated to real-world application for counseling their future patients. The goal is to empower physicians to think about how food and diet can effect one’s well-being.
Our community-based workshops work directly with patients and members of the public to grow their own cooking skills, utilizing recipes to support their personal nutritional needs.
