Cilantro Lime Crema

This Cilantro Lime Crema is sure to brighten up any dish whether it's used to garnish soup or over our Chicken Tinga Tacos! It's full of flavor, nutrients, and so easy to make.


  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions (about 2 scallions)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 cup plain, low fat yogurt
  • 1/2 avocado, skin and seed removed
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl or blend well with an immersion blender or food processor. Add a splash of water if texture is too thick.
  2. Serve cold on top of soup, tacos, or other dishes. Enjoy!
